Imagine Me Stories' book subscription curates children's books featuring Black protagonists. Each month, an activity pack highlights a particular theme in Black history (paleontology, poetry and the country of Ghana, to name a few) and showcases Black history makers from all over the world – celebrating their achievements, discoveries and unique stories.
I created a flexible house style for the packs, bringing in some navigational elements and ensuring a consistent look (and voice, as I also author the content). Using Imagine Me Stories' commissioned illustrations and a combination of stock images and my own digital illustrations, the packs are engaging and busy. The writing part is a real test of my editing skills – sometimes the life stories are so fascinating, it's hard to leave anything out!
