Every member of Girlguiding (leaders especially) loves a badge – maybe even as much as a campfire with s'mores.
Badges must follow specific branding guidelines issued by the national organisation, and usually work to a limited colour palette for embroidering or weaving. Girl guiding and scouting strives to be led by young members, seeking their input and looking to develop leadership at every level. I have helped organise design competitions and workshops for girls to create and submit their badge designs, which I often artwork (before sending to manufacture).
